Through a Window.
“Look through any window,yeah
What do you see?
Smiling faces all around,
rushing through the busy town…….
So sang the British group, The Hollies, in 1966 with a song that got to number 4 in our UK charts and number 32 in the American Billboard Top 40.
Ah, yes….. I remember it well! It was never one of my favourites, but half a century later I still know all the words.
In fact, I think I remember The Hollies playing live at a Saturday night student gig (or “disco” as we preferred to say, which always sounded much cooler than going to a “dance”. “Dances” were what our parents went to where they did “joined-up dancing”).
If you’ve forgotten this jaunty little song (or are much too young ever to have heard it) there is a YouTube link at the end of this post.
For Cee’s Black & White Challenge this week, I’ve put together a gallery of some things I’ve spotted when looking through windows:

Lovely selection. I’m rather partial to the header. The textures are smashing. Haven’t heard the Hollies in a while.
So, are you the long cool woman in a black dress, Helen?

I still think the 60s was the best era to be young.
