The Nailmaker’s Cart and Assorted Cartwheels.

Seen at Shibden Hall.

In the old stables at Shibden Hall there is a museum where the visitor can view carriages and wheeled transport of various degrees of size, luxury and restoration. Anne Lister’s magnificent coach is there to be admired.

A shed around the back is where they store the carts that haven’t made it (yet) into the exhibition. Perhaps they never will.

The description “Carts’ Graveyard” came to mind. I loved this collection!
